I always get this question asked to me “How do you take care of your skin?” Honestly, I don’t think I put a lot of effort in my skin care routine. Today, though I’ll be sharing with you how I take care of my skin. And I swear that there is no secret. Taking care of your skin and getting good results depends on how much you’re willing to invest and the effort you put in.
Simply starting I’m currently using Garnier products. I love their products as it works perfectly with my skin type and texture. By the way did you know that different ethnicity has different skin texture? The face wash I’m using right now is the pomegranate foam cleanser for normal/combo skin. Actually, I prefer the scrub because my t-zone can get quite oily. However, when I went shopping the other day at Wal-mart the scrub was gone, so I bought the foam cleanser.
I bought this product by mistake because it’s for those with dry skin and I didn’t read carefully. However, I love using this Macadamia nourishing cleansing oil. Especially on days when I’m wearing makeup because it helps dissolves the makeup. All you have to do is damp your face a little bit and then with one pump of the product massage it onto your face in circular motion. You can even use it as eye makeup remover. After thirty seconds of massaging, rinse with lukewarm water. And then just clean your face. If you’re going to use this product, make sure to do this before using face wash. It’s a nice product for me to use in the winter since my face is sort of dry during the season, but I’m not so sure if I’m going to use it in the summer. Since I get oily skin in the summer.
After cleaning and washing my face, I like to pat it dry. And then I use the Garnier moisturizer gel. It comes in two different colors, a beautiful blue-green like the one I have for normal/combo skin and beautiful pearl pink for oily skin. So, buy the one that suits your skin type. Okay, so I take two of my fingers, the index and middle, dip it into the product to scoop some moisturizer gel. And that’s enough for me, and then I rub the fingertips of both my hand together and massage onto my face in circular motion. Avoid the eye area. Now there are days when I don’t wash my face at all. And on those days I take a small towel soak it in hot hot hot (not so hot) water and squeeze all the water out. While laying and relaxing in bed, I cover my face with the hot towel. This helps to soften any hard dead skin cells. After leaving the towel on for about five minutes, I gently scrub my face with a facial cleansing pad or brush. You can buy them at Big Lots, that’s where I buy mine. Of course, you have to wet the pad/brush first with some warm water. Afterwards, I just apply some moisturizer. In case you’re wondering, I only wash my face 3 or 4 days out of the week. And in the morning I don’t wash my face with face wash; I use the hot towel method and then apply moisturizer. And for mornings when I’m going out I always put on some BB cream. It helps protect my face from the sun rays and also helps seal in some moist as well. This is my daily skin care routine and I don’t use any other products. However, there are some new products that I’m planning to use. Such as the Garnier eye cream and I’m also going to check to see if they have collagen cream as well. If so I’m going to invest in it.
