And the Mountain Echoed Review

mountains echoed
After reading The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini has become one of my favorite authors. The Kite Runner was good, but A Thousand Splendid Suns was his best work that intricated me. The guy wrote the stories from two women’s point of views! Respect earn. And so when I heard about his latest novel, I just had to pre-order it from Amazon. And the Mountains Echoed came out in May 2013. But with a pile of books to read and finished before starting a new book, this book sat on my bookshelf and desk for almost three years.

Finally as of December 2015, I got the chance to digged in the book. I’m not yet done reading the novel, but I’m almost there. However, I can already tell how the novel is going to end since I only have like 30-40 pages left to read. The main focus of the book is a pair of siblings, Abdullah the big brother and Pari his younger sister. It’s a journey of discovery to one’s past and reconnecting with family. Of course, there are  subplots in the novel and each one is interesting. All the subplots are like the delivery messages of the main and bigger plot.

In all, it is a heartwarming novel and pleasant to read.
